Ten Fruits Downtown Miami

Ten Fruits Downtown Miami

Açaí Love Affair The Downtown Miami area is truly taking shape… and by that I mean through food. One of the healthiest spots in the hood is the new fruit bar Ten Fruits. And since I am always on a #diet this place totally complements my lifestyle.

Ten Fruits is located where I like to call Downtown’s Restaurant Row. Sure Flagler has a few spots, but MY restaurant row dons places like Ceviche 105, Biscayne Tavern, and Pollos y Jarras. And like Restaurant Row in NYC, Miami’s comes fully equipped with homeless people and heroin addicts.
Ten Fruits is my blessing in disguise. Since I am always on the go, my weekend brunch was strictly subjected to either a heavy meal or a smoothie chain. There isn’t anything wrong with either, but a girl needs to have options. So, I grabbed my Bros and dragged them to diet with me – they cringed but if this place was gonna pass, it needed to pass the hungover dude test.  They agreed only after I compromised to go shopping with them for new shorts (note to reader shopping isn’t my thing).
On our Tab:
We each got the Waffle and Smoothie Combo – at like $10.00 – that’s a bargain compared to our champagne brunches at SoHo Beach House.
The Waffles
Whole wheat and totally healthy. Loaded with fruits like fresh berries and bananas, this waffle is not only filling but tastes just as good as the white flour one. I also thought it was awesome they used 100% Blue Agave Nectar instead of syrup. The boys weren’t as convinced primarily because they were craving bacon.
The Smoothies
They bros tried the protein smoothies, duh, so manly. Personally, I don’t enjoy the taste because I usually like refreshing smoothies, but if you are into beefing up – try their protein smoothies I am sure you will be delighted.
The Açaí Bowl
Seriously, where have you been all my life. These bowls are a meal packed into the happiest plastic container in the world. I can’t rave enough about this menu item. So far I’ve tried two bowls and am smitten by each. The Green Açaí Bowl and the Guarana Bowl are my top two.
Overall the experience was amazing! The staff was super friendly and eager to help me customize a bowl. The best part is that they partner with Panther Coffee to supply their food service so you can get their tasty treats in Midtown too! The Bros agreed that I make a better smoothie (those two are always looking for brownie points) and we all agreed that spot will be one of our favorite stops on our weekend adventures.
