Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power Scrub

My skin recently decided it was 13 again… why you may ask? Because my face is a mean mean girl that likes to bully me. Seriously, wtf? Breakouts shouldn’t be an issue when you’ve celebrated countless 21st birthdays. But there I was getting ready to present to a Partner team at my firm instead looking like I should be hiding behind a locker.

After work I ran (literally) to my local CVS to pick up a remedy. I haven’t purchased drugstore beauty products in a long time (thanks Sephora), but I realized there are a TON of options. One of them must be able to kick my bully’s  butt. That’s when I picked up Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power Scrub.

The name of the product said it all:

1) I was clearly stressed

2) I had acne… okay that’s dramatic – just a mini-breakout.

3) I wanted something powerful

It seemed legit, so I happily paid $8.99 and ran home to scrub away.  I decided to use this product as a scrub-mask, which in essence means I leave it on as a mask for 10 minutes and scrub it off after. I used a warm wash cloth to wipe-off  the access and viola! a clean face. The next day (a.k.a presentation eve) I repeated the scrub-mask in the morning and night. Honestly, I was shocked that on the morning of my presentation my face was glowy and soft. It was effective and for the price you can’t beat it. It does have salicylic acid, so if you are prone to dry skin or if you have sensitive skin, I would use it sparingly.

Next time you are at the drugstore pick-up this product. It’s a good to have in case of emergencies and for the price you can’t beat it!
