Break Up with Your Blazer this Summer

I have a major obsession with work wear. Ever since I was a little girl I remember dressing up in my mom’s suit and heels and pretended to have my own office in my bedroom. In high school my friends and I rocked the EXPRESS Editor Pant because it was the cool thing to do. Were we going to work? Nope. We were just workin’ it.

So you can imagine grownup Evelyn would be just as smitten with suiting. And I am. But with the summer days around the corner, rocking a blazer to the office is a torturous undertaking. So this summer I’m breaking up with my blazer and ringing in the new hero – the Valencia Blouse from Kit & Ace.

I recently discovered Kit & Ace in Wynwood and quickly became obsessed with their technical cashmere concept. Cashmere you can throw in the wash without shrinking it to elf size? Sign me up! The fabric is still soft and resilient and wont rack up the dry cleaning bill.

Kit & Ace makes its name with the blended durability of its fabric. The products for both men and women, boast the feel of cashmere and are tailored and darted. My favorite part about this outfit is that it’s performance-ready and, above all, comfortable. Kit & Ace adds functionality to luxury clothing making it perfect for busy professionals on the go.

All in the details…. and a nice photo of my tush 😉 But seriously look at the detailing in the pant pockets. The copper buttons and the stitching bring a unique touch to the Bartlett Cropped Trouser. My favorite part about the pantalones is that they adjust with a zipper at the cuff. So depending on your shoe situation you can adjust accordingly. I could do a downward dog in these pants they are that comfortable.

Founded by fabric designer Shannon Wilson and son J.J. Wilson, Kit & Ace is a lifestyle brand designed for those whose busy lives don’t allow them the luxury to slow down. Sound familiar? Modeled after the founders’ hectic, full contact schedules, the clothing can move from day to night and still look chic.

My favorite thing about this entire outfit is that it’s machine washable – I know I’ve already said that a million times already. But seriously, I can’t get over that you can throw cashmere in the wash! It’s my favorite thing about the brand. I could seriously live in this outfit. I think 3 year old me would be very proud of me right now 😉
