HistoryMiami Museum will celebrate the genre of street photography during Miami Art Week at Miami Street Photography Festival (MSPF). MSPF aims to find and highlight some of the most talented contemporary street photography around the globe. The festival will feature world-class photographers, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, photo walks, and portfolio reviews. Legendary photographers Costa Manos, Alessandra Sanguinetti, Larry Fink, Richard Sandler, Maggie Steber, and Harvey Stein will be this year’s featured guests.

“Miami Street Photography Festival creates a network of photographers from across the world. Through our partnership with HistoryMiami Museum, this event also allows photographers to showcase their work during a time of high exposure for art,” said Juan Jose Reyes, founder of the Miami Street Photography Festival.

As part of the festival’s program, HistoryMiami Museum will exhibit:

  • Photographs of the 99 finalists of the MSPF Street Photography Contest and the three finalists of the Miami Photo Series competition; two international, juried competitions currently underway.
  • Images from Costa Manos’ exhibition, American Color/Florida Pictures in the festival’s featured artist gallery.
  • South Beach, 1974-1990: Photographs of a Jewish Community, featuring works from five esteemed photographers.
  • Images from HistoryMiami Museum’s Archival Center.
